But to be fair....Maki's policy changed a lot now that they have more than one branch. Im almost always late for my reservations and theyre fine with it and we end up staying for hours. I guess it depends on time and date...whether its a 'gezz day' or not ;P I STILL havent gone yet….i dunno if i even want to go now anyway!

Everyone has to hate it or they lack credibility? People always have different ideas about restaurants, it’s not like the only people who can like a restaurant are friends of the owners. Although I did leave a positive comment since I loved their food I am definitely not friends with the owner so your assumption about all those leaving positive comments being friends with the owner is false. However that place is a FREEZER :P excuse my brashness but why Aunt's daughter instead of cousin? hell to the no, it’s true that they freak out about being packed 24/7 and it’s laughable and unnecessary, but the staff are beyond well mannered and they are very friendly with everybody I know, they really work hard, and I don’t have to go on and on about how the food is delicious. I went there for the first time this week and I arrived about a half an hour late at about 8:30pm. They didn't reject us even though they specifically warned us that we'd have to leave at 9pm because other people have a reservation. We were glad to find a reservation considering that we made the reservation on the same day- maybe an hour and a half before actually getting there! They brought us the food incredibly quickly so that we'd have time to gobble it before having to head out and from what I recall they didn't make us leave until the people who were going to take our table actually arrived. We didn't want to leave but we felt obliged because the manager had already warned us that another table was coming so we didn't feel bad about it. We actually wanted to be helpful to the manager. He was very polite and seemed to be trying so hard to do his job that you sort of felt sorry for him. Moreover, the food was DEEELICIOUS! I absolutely loved the Peking duck slider to be specific. I think it would be better though if they didn’t take reservations and just did it on a first come first serve basis. I had a very very different experience.
