I honestly had nothing to post about, and when i was in the Dubai Motor Show i bumped into a undiscovered surreal art piece, the Wiesmann. I could not help my self, i had to express my attraction to such beautiful design. The car is German made, has an M3 engine and a Z4 chassis. Some say that a dealer is acquiring its distribution in Kuwait, but i do not know how much its selling price. Just as a thought, if i where the dealer here in Kuwait, i would only sell the car for people from the age of 35 and above. Making the car specially for customers who enjoy the ride and would not sell the car before its first service as they always do.Enjoy the pics.

I would like to apologize for not posting the couple of days due to food poisoning from Kababji that hospitalized me for 3 day, piece of advise: dont eat from Kababji, it was a miserable experience, any way been to the Redbull event, and was a nice thing to see in Kuwait. From the presence of the people you can see how we are hungry for such outdoor events, the only problem was the squeaking women shouting out the names of the teams, and not to forget that we stood for 2 hours, other than that an amazing effort from the teams and a funny one too:) offcource what i’m going to introduce as ideas for future events are surly far fledged due to the few outdoor event we have in this country, imagine Nokia made a glass tube booth that would be placed in the middle of such events where it can be wrapped with ads, the booths purpose is smart and simple, you just enter, close it after you and you got pure silence to use your phone in such a place where you are surrounded with speakers. But i have noticed one thing, that a bunch of kids have lost there parents and been roaming around crying looking for them, so what i have came up with is why not give away free balloons by RedBull or the event managers to put around the wrist of young toddles, so when they get lost between the crowds, the parents can locate them by looking for these specific balloons. One more interesting thing i saw there was the car cover sponsored by aljareeda news paper, i have discussed such a product in my blog and there it was on a couple of cars, which honestly looked great.

Through out the eid holiday, i have visited Villa Fayrouz with 2 more friends. I honestly dislike Villa Fayrouz customer service but they surly have great tasting food. Before even deciding to go, a friend explained how he ordered take away the day before from the Villa Express and what he got was burned food. When he complained to the chef he explained that this is the way they cook there food. But when the problem reached the manager, the order was resent. Back to the day we visited Villa Fayrouz: we entered the restaurant at 8pm, and it was packed as always. The different thing was that they were serving a buffet rather than ordering from the menu, we did not mind but one friend only had a shesha and me and the other ordered from the buffet. After enjoying the traditional Kuwaiti stare and glare ambience through the shesha smoke, we ordered the cheque and to my surprise carrying a 3 orders of buffet. ”Flash back to Lebanon solidare when the cheque changes depending on the season”. I called in the waiter and explained that we only had two buffets and the third only ordered a shesha, after nearly breaking the waiters head for defending the restaurants claim that when you sit in the chair you get charged a buffet, the manager arrived and took they bill changed it and came back with the edited one. Let me explain what Villa Fayrouz lost that day, three loyal paying customers. Each of us three visit Villa Fayrouz 9 times on average per year, paying an average of 25kd per visit. That totals to 225kd per year per customer, times three resulting into 675kd per year. Now imagine that me and my friends will never go to Villa Faurouz again, and lets say we may live for 30 more years: so 30 multiplyed by 675kd reaching a total loss for Villa Fayrouz to 20,250kd!!. Does the 10kd buffet now look that complicated to handle?

When developing a business many small stuff start arising,  once going around Shuwaikh for a couple of days looking for a bag manufacturer i figured out a  problem in Kuwait that everything is so scattered and many of these business do not advertise in Kuwait to reach and tell you that they are there. Offcourse this monopoly of the large advertising media companies in Kuwait kill small business and make larger ones flourish. The only media methods to market in this country is TV, street bill boards and radio and these are very expense and have a huge waiting list too. So some in Kuwait use this to there advantage and keep such places a secret and when you ask them if they know a place that manufactures cheap plastic bags, he sez give it to me and i’ll get the job done. Offcourse due to our miss information we get charged higher and still do not know the original place that manufactures the product. So back to the post, when i started gift express i needed certain bags to be produced and with the logo too, so went all over Shuwaikh and other printing shop there and they said they would take the order, but the place seemed like it outsoureced the job to some one else. So after searching harder to my surprise found the mandoubs number of NAPCO, A SAUDI BASED company sending there sales people to Kuwait! and there is another called PAK there telephone number is 4711350 but i lost the Napco sales person number sorry, but i have no problems taking your order:P j/k testing my rip off theory…so my advice is always be patient and search harder, ask around and soon you will reach the source. Starting a business requires patience like waiting for your pizza delivery guy to get your order!:p

Warning this is a scientific post, if you dislike science then just ignore this post:P…4.5 billion years ago the earth was born, volcanic, dark and acidic place. No human nor a tiny cell can live on such a place, now 2007 this all changed. If the earth is a time clock that starts at 12 which is today, our history of humankind only goes back to 11:50 and the dinosaurs go back to 11:00 and bacteria began at about 2:oo. thats how huge life and our time span is on this planet that goes around the sun crossing a speed of 30k in a second, thats from mishref to Kuwait city in a second, imagine the whole earth traveling at such a speed around the sun. So just to elaborate on how huge this world is, our closest star in our galaxy is called Alfa Century, when i say a star i mean a sun like ours not a planet, Alfa Century is about 4 light years away meaning if you travel at the speed of light you would reach that star or sun within 4 years! back in school what i have been taught has many incorrect information like how precise our solar system is. Imagine that the whole of space is expanding in a rapid pace and if you think of it, it must came from a single place! Questions like these and other like, why do we “earth” have one moon? other planets in our solar system have 3 and four and some have more than sixty like Jupiter. Imagine if you where in Jupiter and watching the night sky, you would see about 15 and more moons in the night sky. Recently more stars like our sun have been discovered and they are 1 million times larger than our sun! one million times. Understanding the history of astronomy explains how we arrived today here, simple things like growing vegetables came from monitoring the stars that represent winter or summer. If you have any interest in such subject, please contact me. I take a class every Thursday with a Professor in Astronomy called Mr. Adel al Sadoun and he would be more than happy to welcome you to his class.

One bright dot in the M31 andromeda galaxy is compared to our whole solar system of 9 planets and our sun, one dot! we can never see how our galaxy looks because we are in it.

Gases and dust in space are called Nebula’s which represent the creation of a star, the picture here is called Horse Nebula.

When government entities start collaborating with each other, they would surley perform better. I know i have been firing everything at the Baladiya but hey they have  been doing nothing for years and years and ruined how Kuwait is looking now. If they had a sense of responsibility , Kuwait streets would have looked much better. They are the bottle neck of this country chocking business out of life, they should be the creative innovative government entity paving way for better idea and business. Due to there responsibility on every small detail of Kuwait, they should be sharp as eagles and fast in taking action. Kuwaiti business men are amazingly fast and need a government entity that is even faster, and when i say creative i mean creating solution to different demands they are getting from all kinds of business owners. A simple idea is, the request of closing of Salem Al Mubarak st at the festival time of Hala feb… and issuing people with temporary kiosk licensing for them to be serving customer and making coffee shops along side the street. I was one of the people to once request mobile service’s like ice cream trucks, which they refused to even consider. As you can see even externally they  do not perform there normal duties, what are they doing internally then? when more than one bus company started to emerge, confusion took place! the bus stops are filled with unclear and unguided poles and signs, each company is making its own bus stop to lure in customers. Where is the Kuwait Municipality? they are the entity that supposed to fix and direct such companies, eating “bo6a6 ow baideyan i guess”

So what does new Prado cars coming into Kuwait being parked at E7san (ehsaan) do? for the folks that do not know what ehsaan is, he is the number on shop in Kuwait for changing car seats. So our friends at Toyota Alsayer import Prado jeeps that come in cloth seating and change them at ehsaan to turn them into Leather seats. How can poeple trust such a exclusive dealership with such fishy business. They claim the car is leather seats, charge you a hefty amount, and then only spend a small amount to convert it into leather at a Pakistani famous shop in Sharq at the first place. So if Toyota Alsayer is doing such acts i guess they have fooled us much more in many different ways, i have posted earlier how Lexus charges people by changing anything in the car for annual service requirements and give incentives to there employees based on such action. Back to the post you may ask your self, maybe someone else other than Toyota is importing these Prado cars but guess what: No one is allowed in Kuwait to import Toyota other than Alsayer. So the next questions comes, till when such companies monopolize the Kuwaiti market with there bad service and deceiving customers. Such action show that profits is the only desiocion maker, and anything else does not matter. Why cant such a market open up for better equipped Kuwaitis that would love to open there own dealerships and serve customer in an honorable way!

Everyday while i drive back home from work, i listen to the only 88.8 and look at the ads on the road. Most ads out there suck, but at least its something to look at and mock :p. So today as i drove back home ! there were no ads ?! almost all the ads were off the billboards and megacom’s. I heard a couple of rumors billboard prices went up by around double their original price. could this be the reason why these Ad-spaces are empty now ? or is it some new award winning Media-Stunt / publicity-stunt ?

Who haven’t been to Marine Mall? It’s a land mark in Kuwait which attracts many citizens and residents basically every single day of the week (It’s always packed no matter what day it is). The Marina Mall project as everyone is aware off, constitutes of two buildings connected by a pedestrian bridge. This bridge is there to cater for the mall’s clients/customers for ease of transportation between the main mall and the Marina Crescent, which defines the shops renting at the shopping mall and the attending customers.  And whenever the mall shuts at 11pm the bridge shuts as well! So if you are parking at the crescent side of the mall (where parking is easier to get) to attend a film playing at Cinescape (located at the main mall) and the film ends after 11pm you are in trouble in a sense that you will have to cross the 3-lane (un-stripped for crossing over) Gulf Road which has a speed limit of 80kmph but according to the Kuwaiti mentality can have a speed margin of an additional 80kmph, to get to your car!

I personally tried to contact the management (but failed after several attempts) and spoke to some supervisors there including a few of the security guards about it, but ‘no life to whom you call for’. My main concern is the safety of the people, there is a Kuwaiti aphorism which more or less means “Does not have mercy nor will allow God’s mercy to take place”All what is required is that the pedestrian bridge to be opened till after the end of the last movie played at Cinescape. Is that a lot to ask for? Are they not concerned for the safety of the people? Also if it’s a cost issue, I suggest that the management would place a Troll at the bridge after 11pm and who ever wants to cross must either present the Cinescape tickets to the Troll or has to defeat him in a battle!
