This movies is an old comic that describes exactly what is happening now in the states. A must see for American  politics admirers out there! The movie includes a type of DC comics theme into a political web of theories and conspiracy, all i can say is:  a must see!

What happened to virgin is nothing new, this happens always in Kuwait. If anybody went to ma3rath el ketab (only books sold where about Islam or Cooking) would know that most books are censored in Kuwait, they have to be read by some guy in the ministry checked then passed, most dont pass. From my point of view virgin made a large fuss because it pinched a certain kind of community. the shutting of the store effected a small number of book buyer but a large number of electronic and music buyers. Many arabic book stores in Hawali have been harassed and closed down, some moved to other locations. Such action from the Ministry of Communication have been conducted a long time ago, Nothing new really. There is an old novel called Fahrenheit 451, it talks about how the government suppresses reading books and controlling what people learned. Looks like Kuwait is following the same path!

Just got back from the movie, a nice movie but creates confusion. It displays a political message indirectly, with an action twist. The political part includes how governmental  agencies are corrupt, and how they are lying their ass’s off, then you get a action packed weekend block buster. So its a combo movie of action and little politics, i mean if your going to watch the “Phantom” play be my guest but dont think they are playing around cinema metro:P

A weekend of bad movies, Mr bean sucked and now comes Fast Food Nation. Nothing special just another way to make a few Dinars, Dollars maybe Pakistani Rupee too (DVD copies!). The movie has a bad story line and nothing really showing how the American meat companies are treating cows or selling burger patties. Take my advise just dont go! One thing you dont see in the states is a butcher shops, because they believe its animal cruelty, but its okay to do such a thing in a ware house( in the states), maybe thats why to American its something new, to us its like eid:p so nothing new to see in the movie.

So i called the guys and told them, i ll be out from the gym in an hour please get the Fast Food Nation tickets online, so i leave the gym, pick up my friends and go to Ajyal mall, thinking that i m going to see Fast Food Nation, then to my surprise it was Mr freaking Bean! my friends thought Fast Food Nation sounded boring. So here is the review: the movies sucks big time, and only watched if you have 3 kids or more from the age of 3 to 10. Anybody watched fast food nation? and Ajyal mall sucked too, it felt like the twilight zone from Saudi Arabia:P

Loose change is a documentary made by some private investigator, claiming that how the American Government is behind 911, this movie can be downloaded free from the web, i have not seen it yet and i truly believe the American Government new something was going to happen but not believing that the Jews remote controlled the plane into the World Trade Center. The movie has made public  uproar within the American people & government. If you saw the movie please tell me what you think.

If you would like to understand how American Capitalism is eating up the world, and how they call it Globalization, then you should see this movie. They say globalization is the new thing that will help out poorer countries become make more richer. See how American companies like Gap & Nike treat children in China and South America. The movie explains how American Corporations are above the law in America, and how they enter and move into poor countries to deplete their already diminished resources. But beware its a long movie, and should be watched only if your interested.

If your a drama person you would like the movie, many thought that this movies is something like Saving Private Ryan, well its not. Its a long two hour movie about how the Japanese held the Americans at the island of Iwo Jima. The movie is a great movie and a first time Japanese perspective about a battle in world war 2. Just to explain how its more drama than action, the movie is 2 hours long and the fighting scenes are about 30 minutes total. The movie is directed by Clint Eastwood, but has no known American nor Japanese actors. A must see for drama lovers.

I know this sounds old, and if you have seen it please ignore this post. The Inconvenient truth, an amazing movie. The movie was produced by Al-gore former vice president, and its a movie/documentary about the environment and the green house effect. The movie is so stunning that it created a world wide movement against pollution. The past month something like 2000 scientist have met in Paris to discuss and address the green house effect. The issue was so serious that England took the first intuitive to figure out a solution. one unprecedented move by the London municipality is the congestion charges: as an example, when you enter lets say Kuwait city (London) you have to pay a certain charge because your using your car in a already crowded place, so you stop by a bakala (Deli) and pay a charge to offset you carbon emission that are being produced by your car. getting back to the movie, believe me next time you leave your home in the morning going to work you will switch off the light after you watch this movie!
