Most ladies know how much money is spent at weddings in Kuwait right? wrong if most of you did then a wedding planner business would be most lucrative after a lawyer. Most weddings in Kuwait start from about 6000kd and reaching upto 30,000kd. Honestly thats an educated guess by me. So why is there such a need for a wedding planner; because here the bride and her family do everything from valet parking to the design of the dress, so lets segregate some business opportunities here. You need somebody to: arrange the flowers for the milcha and the wedding, arrange valet service at the milcha and probably the wedding, arrange the catering at the milcha maybe not the wedding, arrange a ballroom, arrange delivering of invitation cards, arrange chair’s for the milcha and maybe the wedding, arrange the music or DJ, arrange the chairs of the bride and groom, arrange the decorations of the milcha and maybe the wedding, arrange a divorce lawyer j/k, shall i go on. I mean this is a huge opportunity to start a business in, and what marketers call a ESP; emotional selling point. At such occasions people pay what ever amount is requested because its a one day thing (in Kuwait its starting to become more than once with the divorce rate on the rise, hey return business just went on the rise:P) so most people are spenders at such times. Why such services are needed, because each one of the services above need specific detail and time spent. Most brides dont have such timewhen the deadline starts closing. Lets give an example: the rental chair’s are being rented by some guy, starting as low as 4kd per chair to 14kd/chair. Lets say you invited 40 people, calculate the numbers here! Now what about the flowers then the chocolate, then the photography, what about the delivery of the 1000 invitations…the list goes on. This is a business opportunity waiting to be explored here! No capital needed, some staff yes, maybe established from home, i guess the more creative you are the more business you get!

im dying to open up my own business here in kwt..something to keep me busy and i think this is a great idea….problem is, here in kwt families are huge so most pp would use their extended family to help out with the wedding plans….dont know if they’ll be room for a wedding planner……..
but u know how kwt is…if bint iflan used a wedding planner then everyone would wanna use one..u have to target those simple minded show-off ppl…ehhehehe….actually i think it would work here…im gonna look more in to it….thanx Q-wee

blekh, weddings are the stupidest idea ever, inviting like gazillion people you barely even know half of them, play annoying music, people staring at each other with so much hate for no reason, 7ash o tetennez, not to mention people with lack of taste who just scream “FIND ME A HUSBAND” sad I know, but true, I personally IF I ever want to throw a wedding, it will be a dressy small gathering of my truly loved ones, probably in a small garden or maybe a lovely restaurant, dance and laugh and have a good time, that’s my ideal wedding =}

In search of treasure, believe me this businss has great potentail, it will require some time to biuld, but if the Kuwaiti attitude of “mali khilg” is abolished one day, then you would have a problem,
