Went with a couple of friends to Prime and Toast, recommended by a friend so we thought why not lets try this new restaurant. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great and service was fast and accurate, but the main problem is the core service: the Food. The recommended Prime club sandwhich tasted like the Holiday Inn ala-carte, the shrimp pop corn felt like the Khazan’s one from the coop, obviously food was not that great. It can be a good restaurant to eat from time to time but the problem that follows is the price. Overly priced the food is (18 kd for 3 sandwhiches is a bit pricey), let me explain something: 90% of premium restaurants in Kuwait buy there food from two prominent supplier, Al Zaad and Kuwait Protein. Most restaurant owners cant handle ordering there own food, going into customs burocracy and then storage facilities and so on and so on… so ordering from such companies is much more convenient. If most of these restaurants opposite the sief palace have the same suppliers why are they charging so differently. Certainly a pricing strategy is missing, a certain profit margin must be in place to provide consumers with an adequate feeling and satisfaction with the experience. Time will test prime and toast if it can stand afloat.

Funny thing is I went there with a couple of my friends…loved how cozy it was…and really liked the food…I think I enjoyed it so much cause it tastes like a good home cooked meal …but my experience was different…cause in our case we had to wait soo long to get our order…even though the place was empty and its only sandwichs that we ordered!
But i’d go there again…i’d give it 4 stars actually (5 being the highest)

Actually, being curious I went there yesterday, the food was very average, but yet judgement cannot be made as only 3 items on the menu were ordered. However it is a bit pricey.
