“Dihina fee makabatna”

In Kuwaiti it means that we try to keep or use things within: family, tribe, cult, FB group etc etc , so my first: “Dihina fee makabatna” is the ad on the cover of the game pack that we send the games with. My sisters bakery; the frost bakery.

Not a fan of boxing but heard alot of good review about it; Fight night from EA sport. So i have added the game to digumz.com inventory.

This is a link to the fan page of digumz.com so you can get the latest updates and games that are available for rent.

After strong recommendations from my friends that i have to exhibit digumz.com in P2BK, i have accepted but what i dislike of such events is that its exposure yes! but to which crowd? I guess most are going for reasons that have nothing to do with seeking new ventures. The other major part that i dislike in these events is that i can’t know how well that exhibition did for my business. I love using the Internet because i can see where my customers are coming from and have the details to support any other decisions i make. Even when a decision is made i can see the affects directly. But with exhibitions, i cant measure my success. So i guess such an expenses gets called Sunk Cost.

Anyways digumz.com, my self and the friends who recommended P2BK will be there with me too!.

The contract.

I have added more games at digumz.com check them out.

Another thing i found out, that gamers are still not getting what am offerreing, so i will explain it again.

With digumz.com and a rental plan of lets say 13KD, you can rent 2 games on a daily basis and exchange them through out each day of the month for only a one time fee of 13KD.

Both the exchange and deliveries are free of cost.

I really like this idea, a bathroom that you pay for 2theloo.  I know what your thinking, that we have toilets all over the place, all malls in Kuwait have clean bathrooms. But how about embarkiya or the Kuwait city old souks, places that have outdoor shops.

This is a dutch business based in the Netherland and i think very well suited for them.

Again am a guy talking here and i guess women have a different take to bathrooms, may see this as a wonderful business.

So i come to you and say ” hey how about we take the status update on facebook and launch it into a company, and you can keep telling your friends whats on your mind with only 160 characters to spare”

I guess i would see the same shoe thrown at bush being waved at me:p So thats how twitter got born. I am not a fan of twitter but with all the Arabs in the world wanting more freedom, and all the Arab countries that may topple. I had to look into it, and again its one site that is flooded with people. I dont know the excat numbers but am amazed on how its being used. This is where you here the term accidental business.

Yes, a small post today, tweet :)

What i really loved in the small to big programme in the UK is that they took us on start-up tours, i was really excited to leave class and see real companies and start-ups. After a three days of class session, we where taken to a small start-up company called, fruitful office.

Before i continue writing about fruitful office the professors teaching us there was really great, Prof Taz. He set up the course to show us different entrepreneurs and how they operate. From the professional to the  new to the filed of entrepreneurship, his way of showing us that there are many kinds of entrepreneurs out there, and they are all wanting to get some action.

Fruitful office is a simple idea and run by ex-bankers, the

professional entrepreneurs. They sell fruit basket to office’s in central London. Their pitch: free fruit to your staff makes them better employees and less sick leave days. So companies all over London started providing free fruit basket for their staff. But one important addition to the business was the London campaign for eating fruits. Its called the 5 a day campaign. Will discuss more in later posts. need to keep you guys coming , moo? :P

Pictures below are from the fruitful office company.

Its time for me to stop talking about business and start one, so i started Digumz.com. An online game rental company where you can rent the latest games (PS3, Xbox360,Wii) for a flat monthly fee. The plans are at 7KD for one game, 13KD for 2 games and 18KD for 3 games, so this means you can have 2 games at a time when you subscribe to the 13KD plan and you can exchange the games on a daily basis. You can even keep a game and keep exchanging another. All the games will be delivered to your home.

I really hope the site is easy, its not live yet but will be by next week. When the site goes live, you log in, put your details and we only accept local Kuwaiti credit cards no debit cards. Then you create a wishlist of games in the “My Queue” section, with the most games you want to the least, and based on availability you get your games delivered to your home. The site will have many technical problems at the first phase so bare with me but will keep on fixing them. Below are some pictures of the store, the store is located in Salmiya, Salem Mubarak St, Omniya mall (Ibis hotel) floor M2, store number 33, underground parking is available.

In the coming days i will blog about my experience in opening the store and what hurdles i faced. The digumz.com ad on the blog will direct you there to register your mobile number and email so we can contact you when digumz goes live.

Why are we so into consumerism and collecting stuff, why? i dont really know why psychologically we are so but when i see Kuwaiti products like the kitco chips (BTW they have put less chips inside the bags now, and the potato wafer is thinner)  and how unhealthy they are, why not others come to think about producing healthy chips. Why are we always thinking of importing them (Kuwait entrepreneurs i mean) . Remember if you import them then you dont have a price edge to compete. I’ll give you an example, firefly juice: its freaking expensive about 1.2KD a piece.

You see the guy who imported it was thinking wow this is a nice alternative to soda’s why not import it to Kuwait; 1.2KD for bottled drink is high, screw that idea. Then the next thought should come to mind why not make it in Kuwait, now multiply your thought with most things that you consume daily. These chips like Kitco and other, drinks like firefly etc etc.

I have tried Vitamian water, and i think its fine. Gives you your daily nutritial needs and water at the same time. But importing it would be costly, how about producing it in Kuwait, how hard is it?

First i apologise for not writing for a while, am working on this new venture that is taking most of my time, and will post all about it.

Secondly i have attended the Small to Big in Kings college UK, and i cant wait to share what i learnt there, great stuff.

and last, im thinking of starting an entrepreneurship club with a certain university in Kuwait, i have many ideas that i think can be very helpful for people who seek financing and who want to establish a business.

So ill post in the coming week.
